I would like to quit smoking and also shed some extra pounds which I have acquired over the past year or so in order to increase my level of fitness.
Would any of you recommend the programme for my desired aims?
I’m thinking of undertaking the diet for roughly a month as well as exercising a few times per week obviously.
Any tips on a decent plan would be much appreciated.

Quiting smoking and starting to eat healthier are both very large changes. I would never recommending trying to do them at the same time because if you have a slip up in one area (like have a cigarette), you’re far more likely to throw in the towel on both fronts and go back to eating poorly too.
Quitting smoking is one of the hardest things you’ll have to do. It’s also the best change you can make for a healthier you, even if you are carrying around extra weight. It’s your choice which you choose to tackle first though.
As for a detox diet, the simplest and safest is to just eat whole foods. Fruits, veggies, etc – anything that is fresh and contains only one ingredient, or as few ingredients as possible and never anything that contains ingredients you can’t pronounce or have no idea what they are. Don’t forget to also drink plenty of water – and definitely skip soda or any processed drinks as well.
